This 5-day afternoon camp combines serious baking with real business thinking — and ends with the most fun Friday of the summer. Students tackle more advanced techniques in the kitchen while diving deeper into how a real bakery operates: building a product menu, understanding pricing, and running a sale. Breaks are built into the daily schedule so students can taste and enjoy their work — and everything goes home with them at the end of each day.
Students will develop real baking and business skills including kitchen safety, measuring, mixing methods, oven basics, recipe reading, mise en place, time management, and cleanup — all while thinking like an actual entrepreneur.
Throughout the week, students will work toward one big goal — opening their very own pop up bakery on Friday. Family and friends are invited to shop the sale and purchase treats using Nell's Table play money. It's a real bake sale moment, made entirely from scratch by your kid!
Menus will be emailed the week prior to camp and a booklet of recipes will go home on the last day of camp.
