This 5-day morning camp is a love letter to the chefs who changed the way we cook. Each day is dedicated to a different culinary icon — their story, their philosophy, and the dishes that made them legendary. Each of these chefs has been a specific inspiration for the founding of Nell's!
Throughout the week, students will cook through the signature dishes of Julia Child, Ina Garten, Alice Waters, Joanne Chang, and Sanaa Abourezk — a lineup that spans French classics, garden-fresh cooking, beloved American comfort food, and vibrant Mediterranean vegetarian cuisine.
Students don't just learn recipes; they learn the people behind them. Breaks are built into the daily schedule so students can taste and enjoy what they've made — and everything goes home with them at the end of each day.
Students will develop real kitchen skills including kitchen safety, equipment use, knife skills, stove and oven basics, nutrition, mise en place, recipe reading, measuring, time management, and cleanup — inspired by some of the greatest cooks who ever lived.
Menus will be emailed the week prior to camp and a booklet of recipes will go home on the last day of camp.
