This 4-day morning camp takes young chefs on a culinary journey through some of the world's most exciting and lesser-explored food cultures. Each day has a different country as its backdrop, and recipes are chosen to build real kitchen skills while opening kids up to bold new flavors and traditions. Breaks are built into the daily schedule so students can taste and enjoy what they've made — and everything goes home with them at the end of each day.
Throughout the week, students will cook and bake their way through dishes inspired by India, Italy, Germany, and Norway — a lineup that's anything but ordinary.
Students will learn kitchen safety, equipment use, knife skills, stove and oven basics, nutrition, mise en place, recipe reading, measuring, time management, and cleanup.
Menus will be emailed the week prior to camp and a booklet of recipes will go home on the last day of camp.
