This 4-day afternoon camp is designed for older, more confident young bakers who are ready to tackle more advanced techniques and ambitious recipes. Breaks are built into the daily schedule so students can taste and enjoy what they've made — and everything goes home with them at the end of each day.
Each day has a theme, and recipes are chosen to challenge and grow real baking skills in a focused, hands-on environment. Students will deepen their technique in kitchen safety, equipment use, measuring, mixing methods, oven basics, recipe reading, mise en place, time management, and cleanup.
Throughout the week, students will bake their way through more complex and impressive creations — including a cherry lattice pie and a Bûche de Noël — with themes spanning American classics, Italian baked goods, French-inspired pastries, and Asian sweets.
Menus will be emailed the week prior to camp.
