This 4-day morning camp is part kitchen science, part pure fun — and ends with the sweetest pop up of the summer. Students learn how ice cream is actually made from scratch, experiment with flavors and mix-ins, and spend the week building toward one big moment: running their very own ice cream parlor on Thursday. Breaks are built into the daily schedule so students can taste and enjoy their creations — and everything goes home with them at the end of each day.
Students will develop real kitchen skills including kitchen safety, measuring, mixing methods, recipe reading, mise en place, time management, and cleanup — all while exploring the science behind frozen desserts.
On Thursday, family and friends are invited to visit the parlor and purchase scoops and treats using Nell's Table play money. It's a scoop shop, run entirely by your kid, made from scratch.
Menus will be emailed the week prior to camp and a booklet of recipes will go home on the last day of camp.
